| How Much Should I Spend on My Diamond Ring? |
The old adage of spending two months salary is just one guideline. Honestly, you should spend as much as you can comfortably afford. Buying a diamond is not like buying a car which will depreciate over time; they endure generations and are passed down in your family as heirlooms. Remember, diamonds ARE forever, so do not be afraid to make a major purchase if you really feel she is worth it! You will not lose your money, and over time, the diamond will only appreciate in value. Ask a man who's been married for about 20 years what he paid for his wife's ring and what it was. Compare it to what you see out there today and it will most likely be worth about five to six times as much in today's market!
