How does lasering enhancements or chemical treatments to diamonds affect the value?

My advice would be to steer clear of any lasered or glass filled diamonds that have been treated to improve their quality. Any diamonds sold after undergoing this process should be disclosed as laser treated or filled and their value will be much, much lower as a result. Most retailers will not deal in such goods and it is always important to buy from a reputable source.
Some treated diamonds such as colour enhanced diamonds provide an affordable way to buy fancy coloured diamonds, such as shades of blue, green, yellow etc. The treatment process will not reduce the diamond value in the same way that lasering or glass filling will.
