I really like the idea of having a fancy shape diamond set into a ring. I had been thinking something along the lines of a tycoon cuthttp://www.seenon.com/blog/uploads/Tycoon.jpg, star 129 cuthttp://www.burnells.com/images/1-Parts/Star%20129-8-14-04-DSC_0035-black-e-internet.jpg, asprey cuthttp://www.elsarings.com/images/asprey2.jpg or similar.
I was wondering how these cuts of diamonds compare in prices to a brilliant cut, in terms of carat, clarity or colour.
Thanks, I look forward to your responses.

The tycoon cut will be similar in price to many of the fancy shape, although prices may be stronger due to its growing popularity.
The asprey cut is sold exclusively in Asprey stores in USA and London. They are priced highly, this price reflecting the very high quality of the stones.
There are many other fancy cuts available, more affordable than the round brilliant cut, such as the princess cut, the emerald cut, the radiant cut, the asscher cut, the marquise cut and so on. These are all readily available and not trademarked to one particular organisation as in the case of cuts like the Millenium Cut or Asprey Cut.

I'd say that Mark has nailed it. Now you must ask yourself how much is a blue box worth?
