What is the best way to go about guessing my girlfriend's ring size? Unfortunately, her friends are not really accessable to me right now so I can't ask them for help (and besides, they have big mouths anyway).

If I were to guess where do I start? Is there an online hand size scale or something I could compare and guess with?

Help! Cool! Thanks!

If you want to guess, I'll try to help.

If she is average, like 5'3 to 5'5 and say 135ish in weight, she's probably around a size 6.5. If she's a little shorter or thinner, she'd be closer to a 5. If she's say 5'9 and 160lb she's probably like an 8. If she's very small and petite perhaps a 4 or 4-1/2.

These are all ball park of course.

In the past, I've tried on one of my wife's rings using my pinky finger.

Then when I was at the store I used that as a reference.

Of course, this little trick is not an exact science.

Next time your in the Mall together, walk past a jeweler and tell her you would like to have them measure your finger for ring size, then ask them to do her's while they are at it.

Does she own any other rings? If she doesn't wear them often, take one with you one day while you're out and have someone measure it for you. Just make sure it's a current ring and not one from when she was 5, lol.

It's very sweet that you're going through so much work to find the right size. A lot of guys would just guess and then have it sized later.
