View Full Version : diamond fluorescence
does diamond fluorescence alter the price alot? how much?
thanks!
Hi Bob. Diamond Fluorescence only has an effect on the higher end diamonds mostly, like the VVS+ F+ in larger sizes. This is because it affects the rarity. Fluorescence gives it a blue color and is actually more desirable in diamonds with more yellow color in them like I, J, K, etc. It's negligable in price I would say for your average SI-quality, D-H, 0.50-1.50ct diamond. Some people actually like fluorescence, so it's a personal preference type thing. I would say don't let fluorescence affect your decision making process unless you're looking at this as some type of investment for a larger and more rare diamond.
thank you for your response, i feel better now with the diamond i picked out!
