wholesale jewellers vs bluenile

hi i need help! i have seen two engagement rings that are perfect, one in a wholesale jewellers my local town and one on blue nile.co.uk. the one on bluenile is a much better diamond, same size, better cut, clarity, and colour than the one in the local jewelers and the price is £500 cheaper.
what i need to know is does anyone know anything about bluenile.co.uk, any experiance of them?? and is there any main disadvantages of buying online as opposed to in store.

Hi there

This subject as the old horse "has been beaten almost to death". Advantage 1) Service- when you buy locally you get attention that you can't get online. You can have your ring cleaned and checked for wear regularly and trade it in when your ready. Besides this you get to look at it before you buy. On the other hand 2) if your not in the jewelry trade why should you be able to buy at the same price level as those who are? Thinking that you can seems rather naive don't you think?
