Help with where to start, getting divorced

I have an appraisal for my ring done in 99 for 13.5. I need to sell this ring to settle with my soon to be ex. I live near Chicago, so will my best bet be to try and sell it to wholesalers? I don't want to sell it on consignment, but would love to get 6-8K for it (it's in a large platinum band and is 1.52 carats, Color H, Clarity SI2...) Could someone please point me in the best direction for how to sell this for the most money in the quickest way possible?

I believe Yosef runs a website called CashForDiamonds.com. He's one of the verified diamond dealers here who runs DYJewels.com and Adylon.com

You can also do a search on google for "Cash for Diamonds" or "Buy Diamonds" and a few websites should come up.
