How difficult is it to swap a diamond shape in the same mounting. I have a pretty mounting but I want a round instead of a princess. Is it possible to do something like this?

It depends on the particular mounting, but most likely it shouldn't be a problem. Just swing by your local jeweler and ask if it could be done, or if you can post a picture of your ring then I would most likely be able to tell you yes or no.

That's refreshing. Thanks Rodman, I'll see what he says.

I've had a pear shape emerald swapped out for an oval blue sapphire. I am pretty sure it all depends on the type of mounting. If you have a mounting that is a bezel mounting, those usually are set around the shape of the rock, so that would be a difficult issue I would imagine.
